To provide the girder fitting structure of a staircase with metal fittings inconspicuously on an outer side face of the girder of a low cost and simple structure, and a construction method of the staircase.SOLUTION: A girder fitting structure has a girder and a fixing fitting metal for attaching an upper end part of the girder to a skeleton. The fixing fitting metal has a butt end fixing plate part screwed to the butt end of the upper end of the girder and a pair of skeleton fixing plate parts continued to the butt end fixing plate part and extended outside and inside the girder. The upper end part of the girder is fixed to the skeleton by screwing the pair of the skeleton fixing plate parts of the fixing fitting metal to the skeleton.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
