To provide a sliding seismic isolator which achieves excellent maintainability.SOLUTION: A sliding seismic isolator 50 includes: a pedestal 10; a spherical seat 20 disposed on a surface of the pedestal 10 and including a first concave spherical surface 23; a movable body 30 which includes a first convex spherical surface 31 housed in the first concave spherical surface 23 and a second convex spherical surface 32 located at the opposite side of the first convex spherical surface 31 and in which a first friction material 33 is attached to a surface of the second convex spherical surface 32; and a shoe 40 including a second concave spherical surface 42 on which the second convex spherical surface 32 slides.
