To improve workability of a pile driving machine for driving a rotary member such as a spiral pile and a screw for excavating.SOLUTION: A pile driving machine 10 has: a support frame 20; an output unit 31 rotatably mounted with a drive shaft 32; a secondary side deceleration mechanism 30 incorporated into the output unit, a motor unit 41 provided with an electric motor and mounted on the output unit 31; a primary side deceleration mechanism 43 incorporated into the motor unit 41; a battery 53 removably mounted to the motor unit 41 and for supplying power to the electric motor; and a speed setting lever 56 provided on the support frame 20 and for setting the number of rotation of the electric motor by operation of a worker. The pile driving machine rotationally drives a rotary member mounted on the drive shaft 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
