To provide a door closer that can improve the durability of a main spindle bearing.SOLUTION: A door closer body 1 includes: a housing 10; a main spindle 11 having a vertical axis, connected to an arm 3, and rotating in conjunction with opening/closing movement of a door; and first and second bearings 25 and 26 supporting the main spindle 11 for rotation. The main spindle 11 includes: a first shaft member 30 to which the arm 3 is connected so as to be incapable of relative rotation and which is rotatably supported by the housing 10 via the first bearing 25; and a second shaft member 31, which is a separate structure from the first shaft member 30, provided on the lower side of the first shaft member 30 and rotatably supported by the housing 10 via the second bearing 26, wherein the first shaft member 30 and the second shaft member 31 are joined together so as to be incapable of relative rotation in the inner radial direction of the first bearing 25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
