To enable respective access elements of an access control system for an automobile to automatically open, by improving comfort of the system.SOLUTION: An automobile (32) has at least first and second access elements (36, 38, 40 and 42) that can be automatically adjusted between a closing position and an opening position. An access control method for an automobile includes the steps of: detecting by radio at least one position of a key element (46) that a user (48) carries with respect to the automobile; calculating probabilities of usage of the access elements, in accordance with the at least one position detected of the key element; and adjusting both of the first access element and the second access element, between the closing position and the opening position, when respective probabilities of usage of the first and second access elements are above a predetermined first threshold and when an absolute value of a difference between probabilities of usage of the first and second access elements is below a predetermined second threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
