To reduce restriction by places or an installation position of a crane in an erecting work of a building material.SOLUTION: The erection device 10 comprises a support frame 11, a placement part 12 placed in the state that a building material 2 is laid, a rotation shaft part 13 connecting the support frame 11 and the placement part 12 and allowing the placement part 12 to be rotatable in an erecting direction of the building material and the opposite direction relative to the support frame 11, and a jack part 14 of which lower end is connected rotatably in the erecting direction of the building material and the opposite direction relative to the support frame 11. The placement part 12 is connected rotatably in the erecting direction of the building material 12 and the opposite direction relative to an upper end of the jack part 14, the rotation shaft part 13 is situated at one end side of the placement part 12 in the length direction, at the central part of the placement part 12 in the length direction, and the jack part 14 is situated at the other end side of the placement part 12 in the length direction, at the central part of the placement part 12 in the length direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
