CONTINUOUS CASTING NOZZLE
To provide a continuous casting nozzle capable of preventing a gas produced in a refractory from mixing in molten steel during operation of continuous casting so as to suppress the occurrence of inclusions in molten steel resulting from the gas and suppressing the occurrence of nozzle clogging by making a molten steel-running surface on which the nozzle contacts molten steel smooth and less allowing inclusions to adhere to the nozzle.SOLUTION: A continuous casting nozzle 10 includes a protective layer 12 formed on a base layer 13 including an aggregate of refractory so that the aggregate is not exposed to contact molten steel during operation of continuous casting. The protective layer consists of carbonless refractory free of carbon and blended to 85%-95% of alumina and magnesia in total and 5%-15% of CaO and SiO2 in total. The protective layer is made at a surface into a liquid phase and uniform in irregularities during continuous casting, and a minute liquid phase film 12a is formed comprising a smooth molten steel-running surface. The liquid phase film makes a gas produced in refractory difficult to be mixed in molten steel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】連続鋳造の稼動中に、耐火物内で発生したガスが溶鋼に混入することを防止して、当該ガスに起因する溶鋼中の介在物発生を抑制すると共に、ノズルと溶鋼が接触する溶鋼稼働面を平滑にして介在物をノズルに付着し難くすることで、ノズル閉塞の発生を抑制できる連続鋳造用ノズルを提供する。【解決手段】連続鋳造用ノズル10は、骨材の耐火物を含む基層13の上に、連続鋳造の稼動中に骨材が露出して溶鋼と接触しないように保護層12が形成されている。保護層は、アルミナとマグネシアの合計が85%〜95%、CaOとSiO2の合計が5%〜15%となるように配合した炭素を含まないカーボンレス耐火物からなる。保護層は、連続鋳造中に表面が液相化して凹凸が均され、平滑な溶鋼稼働面を備えた緻密な液相膜12aが形成される。当該液相膜は、耐火物内で発生したガスを溶鋼に混入させ難くする。【選択図】図3
