To provide a permanent scaffold installation method that can shorten a construction period.SOLUTION: A permanent scaffold installation method for installing permanent scaffolding under a bridge includes: a step of suspending a frame 12 configured by temporarily fixing a single pipe 14 in a direction perpendicular to the bridge axis with a chain 15 from a main girder 11 to adjacent vertical beams 13 extending in the direction of the bridge axis; a step of installing a back panel 16 between the vertical beams 13 after suspending the frame 12; a step of permanently installing a hanger 18 between the main girder 11 and the vertical beams 13 after installing the back panel 16; and a step of removing the single pipe 14 and the chain 15 after the main installation of the hanger 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
