To provide the installation method of a U-shaped groove shortened in a construction period by dispensing with excavation work and reduced in cost by reducing countermeasures for resisting against soil pressure, and a U-shaped groove structure.SOLUTION: In the installation method of a U-shaped groove U1, the steps of: placing a U-shaped groove U1 with a roughly U-shaped cross section on an installation face (ground level G1) as it is; and fixing the U-shaped groove on the installation face are performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
