EDDY CURRENT TYPE DAMPER
To provide an eddy current type damper which can easily adjust resistance force expressing characteristics of a damping effect of the device itself without using a viscous material, and can obtain a stable damping effect for a long period of time.SOLUTION: An eddy current type damper includes: an exterior wall body 2 which is erected from a lower structural material BD, is formed into such a box as to have a rectangular front shape and open upward, and is connected to the lower structural material BD; an inner wall body 3 which is suspended from an upper structural material BU, is stored so as to be movable in a vertical direction and a lateral width direction of the external wall body 2 in a state of being inserted to the external wall body 2 from the upper part, and is connected to the upper structural material BU; and a permanent magnet 4 provided on one of mutually opposite surfaces of the external wall body 2 and the inner wall body 3. The external wall body 2 and the inner wall body 3 are configured so as to generate an eddy current for generating resistance force preventing relative movement of the external wall body 2 and the inner wall body 3 during the relative movement on a surface facing the permanent magnet 4 so as to have a gap.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】粘性材料を用いることなく、装置自体の制振効果の特性を表す抵抗力を容易に調整できるとともに、長期間にわたって安定した制振効果を得ることができる渦電流式ダンパを提供する。【解決手段】下側構造材BDから起立し、正面形状が矩形状でかつ上方に開口する箱状に形成され、下側構造材BDに連結された外壁体2と、上側構造材BUから垂下し、外壁体2に上方から挿入された状態でかつ外壁体2の上下方向及び横幅方向に移動自在に収容され、上側構造材BUに連結された内壁体3と、外壁体2及び内壁体3の互いに対向する面の一方に設けられた永久磁石4と、を備え、外壁体2及び内壁体3は、永久磁石4と間隔を隔てて対向する面において、外壁体2及び内壁体3が相対的に移動する際に、その移動を妨げる抵抗力を発生させるための渦電流が生じるように構成されている。【選択図】図1
