To improve convenience of an authentication system.SOLUTION: A first authentication device 121 performs first authentication processing involving a first processing load for authenticating a person to be authenticated as a user of an object. A second authentication device 122 performs second authentication processing involving a second processing load higher than the first processing load for authenticating the person to be authenticated as the user of the object. A control device 13 executes operation control of a device to be controlled 40 mounted on the object based on at least one of a result of the first authentication processing and a result of the second authentication processing. The control device 13 causes the first authentication device 121 to repeatedly execute the first authentication processing until the result of the second authentication processing is received.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
