To provide a traffic sign display device that prevents erroneous display and smoothly displays a traffic sign.SOLUTION: A traffic sign display device of the present invention includes: a traffic sign recognition unit 101 that recognizes sign information of a traffic sign contained in a forward image of a vehicle; a sign information acquisition unit 102 that acquires sign information on a road, on which the vehicle travels, associated with position information on the vehicle obtained from map information; a sign display unit 105 that displays for an occupant of the vehicle the sign information recognized by the traffic sign recognition unit or the sign information acquired by the sign information acquisition unit; and a sign display control unit 103 that controls display of the sign information on the sign display unit. When the sign information recognized by the traffic sign recognition unit and the sign information acquired by the sign information acquisition unit disagree with each other, the sign display control unit displays on the sign information display unit at least the sign information recognized by the traffic sign recognition unit or the sign information acquired by the sign information acquisition unit. After a predetermined time has elapsed or the vehicle has traveled a predetermined distance, the sign display control unit ceases display of the sign information on the sign display unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
