To provide a worker monitoring system for monitoring a worker who performs work using a fall arresting appliance, the system enabled to secure safety of the worker and provided inexpensively.SOLUTION: A worker monitoring system 1 comprises: a first detection unit 101 and a second detection unit 102 that are provided, respectively, at first and second holders 2,3 capable of suspending first and second hooks 141H, 142H of a fall arresting appliance HS, respectively, the first detection unit detecting presence/absence of the first hook 141H at the first holder 2, the second detection unit detecting presence/absence of the second hook 142H at the second holder 3; a position detection unit 103 for detecting a worker P's position; a risk determination unit 104 for determining a risk of the worker P on the basis of hook presence/absence detection results by the first and second detection units 101, 102 and a worker position detection result by the position detection unit 103; and an alarming unit 105 for raising an alarm depending on the risk determined by the risk determination unit 104.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
