REINFORCEMENT METHOD FOR CORNER WELD SECTION OF STEEL BRIDGE PIER WITH RECTANGULAR CROSS-SECTION
To provide a corner reinforcement method for a corner weld section of an existing steel bridge pier with a hollow box-shaped cross-section, capable of sufficient seismic reinforcement especially of a corner weld section at a base of a hollow steel bridge pier filled with concrete.SOLUTION: A reinforcement method is for a corner weld section of a steel bridge pier with a hollow rectangular cross-section that includes corner weld sections at four corners, and uses corner reinforcement means having two almost rectangular pieces that could come in contact with adjacent two surfaces of the surfaces constituting the corner, and connecting means for connecting the two corner reinforcement means using one each of the two pieces of each of the corner reinforcement means; the corner weld section is reinforced by fixing the corner reinforcement means on the corner utilizing friction generated between one of the two adjacent surfaces and the piece of the corner reinforcement means in contact with the surface when the corner reinforcement means connected by the connecting means is pre-stressed, and the reinforced corner weld section is applied to the steel bridge pier with the rectangular cross-section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】既設の中空の箱形断面鋼製橋脚の角溶接部、特にはコンンクリートが充填された中空の鋼製柱基部の角溶接部に対して十分な耐震補強を行うことができる角補強工法を提供する。【解決手段】四隅の角部に角溶接部を含む中空の矩形断面鋼製橋脚の角溶接部の補強方法であって、角部を形成する面のうち、接する2つの面にそれぞれ当接しうる略矩形の二片を有する角補強手段と、2つの角補強手段間をそれぞれの角補強手段が有する二片のうちの一片ずつを使用して連結する連結手段と、を用い、連結手段により連結された角補強手段に与えられたプレストレスにより、接する2つの面のうちの一面と、一面に当接する角補強手段の一片との間に発生した摩擦によって、角補強手段を角部に固定して角溶接部の補強を行い、補強される角溶接部は、矩形断面鋼製橋脚に適用される角溶接部の補強方法である。【選択図】図2
