To provide a fireproof joint structure capable of suppressing positional deviation of a joint material at the time of construction, and to provide a construction method of the fireproof joint structure.SOLUTION: A fireproof joint structure 1 includes: a firs panel P1; a second panel P2 adjacent to the first panel P1; and a vertical joint material 5 sandwiched between the first panel P1 and the second panel P2. The first panel P1 has, on a side surface opposing to the second panel P2, a first recess part 20 for storing the vertical joint material 5. The second panel P2 has, on a side surface opposing to the first panel P1, a second recess part 21 for storing the vertical joint material 5. The vertical joint material 5 has: a fireproof material 6 stored in the first recess part 20 and the second recess part 21; and a holding member 7 for holding the fireproof material 6 at the first panel P1.
