To provide a storage tank capable of inhibiting deceleration of initial drainage rate when a siphon is not yet started, so as to prevent a time delay when generating siphon force, as well as, eliminating the need to store a large quantity of drainage for raising a water head of a siphon drainage pipe.SOLUTION: A storage tank 10 includes: a main flow channel 12 provided between an inflow port 22 into which a liquid flows and an outflow port 24 from which the liquid flows out; a storage section 14 that is provided beside the main flow channel 12 in parallel with the main flow channel 12 and is capable of storing the liquid; a partition wall 16 provided between the main flow channel 12 and the storage section 14 and extending along the flow of liquid inside the main flow channel 12, and having an opening 26 that is formed partially at a position in a vicinity of the outflow port 24 for causing the main flow channel side and the storage section side to communicate with each other; and a branched flow channel 18 for connecting between the opening 26 and the storage section 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
