To provide an evaluation method of a granular material capable of evaluating the appearance of a compaction construction surface of granular materials without performing a proof rolling test.SOLUTION: In an evaluation method of granular materials, a saturation degree indicating a ratio of a volume of water entering a void to a volume of the void formed by the granular materials is calculated by using an average water content ratio, a dry density, and an apparent density of the granular materials, and an appearance of a compaction execution surface of the granular materials is evaluated by using the saturation degree.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
