To provide a daylighting building material capable of daylighting and protecting privacy without the need for using a handle as a blind.SOLUTION: A daylighting building material includes a surface member having a front surface and a back surface and having an opening penetrating in the front-back direction, a translucent member arranged along the inner surface of the opening, and a light-shielding member extending from the translucent member along the direction parallel to the surface member and covering the inner region of the opening.
