To restrict a power consumption when communicating with an electronic key while restricting a relay attack.SOLUTION: An ECU 20 as an authentication device comprises a UWB communication part 26 loaded on a vehicle 12 and communicating wirelessly between an electronic key 14 and a UWB, an LF transmission part 22 loaded on the vehicle 12 in multiple and communicating wirelessly between the electronic key 14 and an LF band, a calculation part calculating a distance and an angle at which the electronic key 14 is situated relative to the UWB communication part 26 on the basis of a wireless communication with the electronic key 14 at the UWB communication part 26, an execution part executing a wireless communication with the electronic key 14 at the LF transmission part 22 corresponding to the calculated angle among the plurality of LF transmission parts 22 and a determination part deciding whether the electronic key 14 is present or not in the area corresponding to the LF transmission part 22 in which the wireless communication is executed on the basis of the executed wireless communication of the LF band and the calculated distance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
