To provide a fitting on which a shock-absorbing member can be retrofitted and installed at any position and provide such a shock-absorbing member.SOLUTION: A fitting has a frame part 2, a door 3 rotatably supported on the frame part 2 about a suspension axis, an airtight material 4 provided along either a first end 31 (door suspension side end) located on the suspension side of the door 3 or a first frame part 22 (suspension side frame part) located on the suspension side of the frame part 2, and a shock-absorbing member 5 provided along either the first end 31 or the first frame part 22, in which when the door 3 is closed, the airtight material 4 and the shock absorbing member 5 are sandwiched between the first end 31 and the first frame 22, and the shock-absorbing member 5 is a separate member from the airtight material 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
