To provide a cover which can secure sufficient sound insulation property, and to provide a drain joint.SOLUTION: A sound insulation cover 100 to 500 covers an opening of a drain joint P and includes: a disc-like canopy part L; a cylindrical side surface part S which is provided extending from an outer peripheral edge of the canopy part L orthogonally to the canopy part L; and a cylindrical foam tape provided on an inner peripheral surface of the side surface part S. The side surface part S is provided so as to cover an outer surface of the foam tape. An outer diameter of the canopy part L is larger than an outer diameter of the foam tape.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
