To provide a brace in which local buckling hardly occurs in an axial force member in a non-stiffening section.SOLUTION: A first non-stiffened section 270 is provided between the other X2 side end of a first clevis 110 and a first closing part 50, and a second non-stiffened section 280 is provided between the one X1 side end of the second clevis 120 and a second closing part 60, and the ratio of the axial length W1 (mm) of the first non-stiffened section 270 in 2% tension to the cross-sectional secondary radius i (mm) of the axial force member 90 (W1/i) and the ratio of the axial length W2 (mm) of the second non-stiffened section 280 at 2% tension to the cross-sectional secondary radius i (mm) of the axial force member 90 (W2/i) is 17.0 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
