To provide a rail rust removal device that can eliminate the need for adjusting the strength of pressure contact for a polishing member against the upper surface of a rail and that can obtain a stable polishing finish regardless of the skill of an operator.SOLUTION: A rail rust removal device 1 comprises: a carriage 2 that can move on rails; a rotating mechanism 4 that is disposed behind the upper surface of the carriage 2, and includes a rotating shaft 4a and a bearing 4b that rotatably supports the rotating shaft 4a attached to a bearing hole; a side frame 5 having a structure that is rotatably supported by one end in the longitudinal direction of the rotating shaft 4a and that rotatably supports a rod-like shaft part 5a; a disk-like polishing member 7 rotatably held on the shaft part 5a; and polishing member driving means that is fixed to the side frame 5 and rotates the shaft part 5a by applying power from a prescribed driving source.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】レール上面に対して研磨部材の圧接の強さを調整する作業を不要とするとともに、作業者の技術によらず安定した研磨仕上がりを得ることができるレール錆取り装置を提供する。【解決手段】本発明にかかるレール錆取り装置１は、レール上を移動可能な台車２と、回動軸４ａと軸受け穴に取り付けられた回動軸４ａを回動可能に支持する軸受け部４ｂとを備え台車２上面の後方に配置された回動機構４と、回動軸４ａの長手方向の一方の端部に回動可能に支持されるとともに棒状の軸部５ａを回転可能に支持する構造を有するサイドフレーム５と、軸部５ａに回転可能に保持された円盤状の研磨部材７と、サイドフレーム５に固定され所定の駆動源により動力を与えることによって軸部５ａを回転させる研磨部材駆動手段と、を備えることを特徴とする。【選択図】図１
