BASE ISOLATION MECHANISM AND BASE ISOLATION STRUCTURE
To provide a passive type base isolation mechanism that is inexpensive, prevents the swinging of a base isolation structure due to directional external force such as wind power, and has desired base isolation performance without requiring maintenance, and a base isolation structure equipped with the base isolation mechanism.SOLUTION: A base isolation mechanism 11 includes: a base isolation device 5 that is provided on a base isolation layer 4 formed between an upper structure 2 and a foundation structure 3 located under the upper structure 2, normally supports the upper structure 2, and raises the upper structure 2 when displacement increases following displacement in a horizontal direction of the upper structure 2; and a friction bearing 6 that normally supports the upper structure 2 and separates from a lower part of the upper structure 2 when the upper structure 2 displaces in the horizontal direction. The base isolation device 5 and the friction bearing 6 are disposed in parallel in the base isolation layer 4. A height of the friction bearing 6 when supporting the upper structure 2 and a height thereof after separating from the upper structure 2 generally match. 【課題】安価で、風力等の方向性外力による免震構造物の揺れを防止し、かつ、メンテナンスフリーで所望の免震性能を有するパッシブ型の免震機構と該免震機構を備えた免震構造物を提供する。【解決手段】免震機構11は、上部構造体2と上部構造体2の下方に位置する基礎構造体3との間に形成される免震層4に備えられ、平時は上部構造体2を支持し、上部構造体2の水平方向の変位に追従して変位が増すと上部構造体2を上昇させる免震装置5と、平時は上部構造体2を支持し、上部構造体2が水平方向に変位すると上部構造体2の下部と離間する摩擦支承6と、を備え、免震装置5と摩擦支承6とは、免震層4内で並列配置され、摩擦支承6は、上部構造体2を支持時の高さと、上部構造体2と離間した後の高さとが略一致する。免震構造物1は、上記の免震機構11を備えていることを特徴とする。【選択図】図1
