To provide an auxiliary member for a building pillar that suppresses deformation and has high strength.SOLUTION: An auxiliary member for building pillar 1 comprises a first side surface portion 11 extending in the vertical direction, an upper surface portion 12 that extends horizontally continuously from an upper edge of the first side surface portion 11, a lower surface portion 13 that extends horizontally continuously from a lower edge of the first side surface portion 11, a second side surface portion 14 extending parallel to the first side surface portion 11 by connecting the edges of the upper surface portion 12 and the lower surface portion 13, and ribs 15 orthogonal to the first side surface portion 11, the upper surface portion 12, the lower surface portion 13, and the second side surface portion 14, and which fixed to the inner surface of at least any two of the first side surface portion 11, the upper surface portion 12, the lower surface portion 13, and the second side surface portion 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
