IMPROVED STRUCTURE OF EXISTING WHARF AND CONSTRUCTION METHOD OF THE IMPROVED STRUCTURE
To provide an improved structure of an existing wharf and a construction method of the improved structure applicable even when construction on land is restricted.SOLUTION: The disclosed improved structure of an existing wharf 1 includes: a first new wall 3 that is placed at the water area side of an existing wall 45 on an existing quay 41 with a predetermined gap from the existing wall 45, which is composed of connecting sheet piles, which connect steel sheet piles or steel pipe piles; a second new wall 5 placed parallel to the first new wall 3 with a gap at the water side, connecting the sheet piles that are steel sheet piles or steel pipe sheet piles; a partition wall 7 provided at predetermined intervals in the direction perpendicular to both walls between the first new wall 3 and the second new wall 5; and a horizontal force transmission member 9 that is placed between the first new wall 3 and the existing wall 45 for transmitting a horizontal force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
