To provide an installation method of a floating floor panel capable of suppressing relative movement between floating floor panels after their engagements while making an engaging work between the floating floor panels easier and capable of making cracks on the surface of a finishing material less likely to occur.SOLUTION: A first side part 11 of a metal plate 10 has a first vertical plate part 11a, a first horizontal plate part 11b, and a first outer plate part 11c. A second side part 12 of the metal plate 10 has a first abutment plate part 12a abutting against the upper end of the first vertical plate part 11a held by another metal plate 10, and extending downward, and a first engaging plate part 12b extending to the first outer plate part 11c held by another metal plate 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
