MOVEMENT REGULATING DEVICE
To provide a movement regulating device capable of inhibiting damage of a building and a retaining wall as a result of collision of an upper structure with the retaining wall.SOLUTION: A movement regulating device comprises a first bundle material, a pair of second bundle materials 23, a buffer member, a deformation member 24, and a pin joining part 25 that joins the second bundle materials 23 and the deformation member 24. The deformation member 24 is pressed against, when a relative movement amount of an upper structure to a lower structure is a predetermined amount or larger, the first bundle material or the second bundle material 23 via the buffer member to be deformed, absorbs kinetic energy and also regulates the movement amount to limiting displacement or less of a base isolation layer. The pin joining part 25 has a splice plate 252 fixed to the second bundle material 23 and in which bolt holes 252a are formed, long holes 243 formed on the deformation member 24 and are long in the opposing direction where the pair of second bundle materials 23 are opposed to each other, and bolts inserted into the bolt holes 252a and the long holes 243a and fastened with nuts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
