To provide a steel-wood hybrid beam material and a beam material T-shaped steel piece that make it possible to more rationally and appropriately form a hybrid beam material with wood using a T-shaped steel piece.SOLUTION: A steel-wood hybrid beam material comprises: a beam material T-shaped steel piece 10 that has a T-shaped cross-sectional shape formed from a vertical plate part 20 and a horizontal plate part 30, where the vertical plate part is a long flat steel plate forming a core part of the beam material and has a vertically long cross-sectional shape so as to form a web, and the horizontal plate part is a long flat steel plate forming an upper part of the beam material and has a horizontally long cross-sectional shape so as to form a flange; and a surrounding wood part 50 that covers and encloses the vertical plate part 20 excluding both longitudinal end parts of the T-shaped steel piece 10 and an upper surface side of the horizontal plate part 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
