To provide an additional wall that can be installed independently without causing an increase in the wall thickness.SOLUTION: An additional wall 1 comprises: a cross-sectional view L-shaped first bearing member 11 that includes an upper plate 11A fixed to a ceiling 91 and a hanging plate 11B hanging from the end part of a wall body 90 side of the upper plate 11A and placed isolated from the wall body 90; a cross-sectional view L-shaped second bearing member 12 that includes a lower plate 12A fixed to a floor 92 and a raising plate 12B rising from the end part of the wall body 90 side of the lower plate 12A and placed isolated from the wall body 90; a sheathing layer 20 consisting of multiple pieces of sheathing 21 bridged and mounted between the hanging plate 11B and the raising plate 12B and placed isolated from the wall body 90; a first gypsum board layer 30 consisting of multiple gypsum boards 31 mounted at an indoor side of the sheathing layer 20; and a second gypsum board layer 40 consisting of multiple gypsum boards 41 mounted at an indoor side of the first gypsum board layer 30.
