To cancel control for delaying engine stop during the control.SOLUTION: A stop system for an engine of a work machine comprises: an engine stop control unit that when a stop instruction is given to stop an engine of a work machine, executes delay stop control of delaying the stop of the engine until a predetermined condition is satisfied and then stopping the engine; and an engine stop control cancel unit that in a case where a cancellation instruction is given to cancel the stop control, cancels the delay stop control when an operation machine of the work machine is in a locked state, and continues the delay stop control when the operation machine is in an unlocked state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
