To provide a handrail for walking which makes it easy for a user to have a kicking-off point to take a first step, and assists walking such as stopping walking in rush without requiring a strong grip when starting to walk.SOLUTION: The handrail comprises vertical grip portions (3) formed by protruding upward at front and rear intervals of about a stride length on both sides in a vertical advancing direction and at positions shifted by about a half step on the left and right, so that a user can easily take a first step and subsequently can easily move the hands and feet forward alternately. Additionally, by holding the vertical grip portion (3) with the palm, the user can stop walking in rush without requiring a strong grip.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】初めの第一歩を踏み出すきっかけが掴みやすく、また歩き始めたら強い握力を必要としなくても突進歩行を止めるなど歩行を補助する歩行手すりを提供する。【解決手段】縦進行方向の両側に歩幅程度の前後間隔で、また左右においては半歩程度ずらした位置に上方に突出して形成した縦型握体（３）を備えることにより利用者は第一歩が出やすくなり、その後も手足が交互に出やすくなる。また、縦型握部（３）を掌で保持することにより強い握力を必要としなくても突進歩行を止められる。【選択図】図1
