To provide a handrail post whose length can be adjusted and whose side projection of a mechanism for holding the length is suppressed.SOLUTION: A first post 11 includes an outer cylinder 51 and an inner cylinder 52 each having an elliptical cross section. A groove portion 53 is formed in the outer cylinder 51. An outer cylinder hole 54 is formed inside the groove portion 53 of the outer cylinder 51, and a plurality of inner cylinder holes 55 is formed in the inner cylinder 52. A positioning member 56 having a female screw portion 56a is fitted into the groove portion 53. By inserting a fixing bolt 57 into one of a female screw portion 56a of the positioning member 56, the outer cylinder hole 54 of the outer cylinder 51, and the inner cylinder hole 55 of the inner cylinder 52, the outer cylinder 51 and the inner cylinder 52 are fixed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
【課題】長さ調整が可能であって、長さを保持する機構の側方への出っ張りが抑制された手すり用支柱を提供すること。【解決手段】第１支柱１１は、横断面が楕円形状の外筒５１および内筒５２を備える。外筒５１には溝部５３が形成されている。外筒５１の溝部５３の内部には外筒孔５４が形成され、内筒５２には複数の内筒孔５５が形成されている。溝部５３に、雌ねじ部５６ａを有する位置決め部材５６が嵌め込まれている。位置決め部材５６の雌ねじ部５６ａおよび外筒５１の外筒孔５４と、内筒５２の内筒孔５５のいずれか一つとに固定ボルト５７を挿入することにより、外筒５１と内筒５２とが固定される。【選択図】図４
