To provide a handrail structure that can be assembled and stored quickly and easily.SOLUTION: A handrail structure 50 in one embodiment comprises a plurality of handrail units 60 comprising: a pair of vertical members 61; a plurality of horizontal members 62 connecting the pair of vertical members 61 to each other; and a vertical member connecting structure 63 fixed to each of the pair of vertical members 61. The plurality of handrail units 60 are arranged to enclose an opening 3z, and each horizontal member 62 is integrated with the vertical member 61. Each horizontal member 62 comprises a sheath tube structure 65, which makes each handrail unit 60 expandable and contractible. The vertical member connecting structure 63 of one handrail unit 60 is attachable to and detachable from the longitudinal member connecting structure 63 of another handrail unit 60, and the handrail unit 60 comprises a vertical member fixing portion 64 that fixes the vertical member 61 to a structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
