To provide an elevator type parking device capable of saving energy and reducing entry/exit time and allowing forward entry and forward exit as well.SOLUTION: An elevator type parking device comprises a pallet 2 on which a vehicle 1 is loaded, a cage lifting device 6 for moving up/down a cage 10 on which the pallet 2 is loaded in a lift path, a rotation device 20 for loading and rotating the pallet 2, a coupling device 30 for detachably connecting the rotation device 20, and a fixing device 40 for detachably fixing the rotation device 20 at a predetermined height of the lift path. The elevator type parking device has a plurality of storage shelves 4 for storing the vehicle 1 with the pallet 2 and a traversing device 14 for transferring the pallet 2 between the cage 10 and the storage shelf 4, and when the pallet 2 is rotated at the lift path 3, the pallet 2 rotates at a higher position not to interfere with the storage shelf 4 than the height when transferred to the storage shelf 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
