To prevent objects from falling to a bottom of an inner side space through an opening of a vehicle door.SOLUTION: A vehicle door handle unit comprises: a latch release handle that is arranged on the inner side of a vehicle door, can be operated from the outer side of the vehicle door through an opening provided on the vehicle door, and releases a latch of the vehicle door when a prescribed operation is performed; a lid member that can open and close the opening and moves downward from a closed position for closing the opening towards an open position for opening the opening on the inner side of the vehicle door; a base member that forms a storage space for storing the latch release handle and the lid member; and a partition plate that divides the storage space into an upper space for storing the latch release handle and a lower space for storing the lid member in a state where the lid member is located at the open position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
