To realize a shutter reinforcing device that can be easily and inexpensively installed on an existing shutter, supports slats from both the front and back sides against strong winds, and suppresses damage.SOLUTION: A shutter reinforcing device includes: an indoor side bar mounting receiver 13 and outdoor side bar mounting receiver 14 fixed on the indoor side and outdoor side, respectively, of a seat plate 11 of the lowest of slats 7; an indoor side bar holder 15 fixed on vertical frames 3 at the left and right sides; an outdoor side bar holder 16 fixed on guide rails 6 at the left and right sides; and an indoor bar 20 and an outdoor bar 21, which are held horizontally on the indoor side and outdoor side of the slats 7, respectively, by the right and left indoor side bar holders 15 and the right and left outdoor side bar holders 16 to support the slats 7 from the indoor side and outdoor side, in which the indoor side bars 20 and the outdoor side bars 21 are mounted on the indoor side bar mounting receiver 13 and the outdoor side bar mounting receiver 14 respectively above the indoor side bar holder 15 and the outdoor side bar holder 16, and are raised and lowered with the seat plate 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
