To provide a hydraulic drive device capable of suppressing increase in speed of an actuator even when increasing engine speed for a purpose other than the increase in the speed of the actuator and provide a construction machine including the hydraulic drive device.SOLUTION: A controller 50 of a hydraulic drive device performs pump flow rate control that is control for adjusting pump capacity of a hydraulic pump 12 and increasing engine speed so that a pump flow rate of the hydraulic pump 12 after increase in the engine speed becomes a value corresponding to a pump flow rate of the hydraulic pump 12 before the increase in the engine speed when increasing the engine speed for a predetermined purpose different from increase in speed of an actuator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】アクチュエータの増速とは異なる目的でエンジン回転数を増加させる場合であっても、アクチュエータの増速を抑制できる油圧駆動装置及びこれを備えた建設機械を提供する。【解決手段】油圧駆動装置のコントローラ５０は、アクチュエータの増速とは異なる所定の目的でエンジン回転数を増加させる場合に、エンジン回転数の増加後における油圧ポンプ１２のポンプ流量がエンジン回転数の増加前における油圧ポンプ１２のポンプ流量に対応する値になるように、油圧ポンプ１２のポンプ容量を調節するとともにエンジン回転数を増加させる制御であるポンプ流量制御を行う。【選択図】図２
