To improve strength of pavement and soil.SOLUTION: A magnesium-based solidifying material 15 includes magnesium and combustion ash of wood materials. The magnesium-based solidifying material 15 is used for pavement and soil improvement, for example. When using the magnesium-based solidifying material 15 for pavement, the magnesium-based solidifying material 15 is mixed with sand 16. Specifically, the sand 16 mixed with the magnesium-based solidifying material 15 is used as a paving material 14. When the magnesium-based solidifying material 15 is used for soil improvement, the magnesium-based solidifying material 15 is mixed with soil (earth). By including combustion ash of wood materials in the magnesium-based solidifying material 15, the strength of pavement, soil, etc. in which the magnesium-based solidifying material 15 is used can be further increased.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
