To provide a guardrail post repair method and a repair member to make effective use of existing posts and reduce work load.SOLUTION: A repair method of a guardrail post 10 whose lower part is buried in the ground and whose upper part is penetrated by a horizontal bolt includes a first insertion step in which, inside the guardrail post 10, a bolt is inserted through a reinforcing pipe 20, which has a vertical slit formed from the lower end upward and a horizontal slit formed to communicate with an intermediate part of the vertical slit, to reach the horizontal slit, a first rotation step of rotating the reinforcing pipe 20 in the horizontal direction so that the bolt enters the horizontal slit, a reinforcing member installation step of installing a reinforcing member 30 that fills the gap between the vertical slits, a second rotation step of rotating the reinforcing pipe 20 in the horizontal direction so that the bolt comes out of the horizontal slit and a second insertion step in which, inside the guardrail post 10, a bolt is inserted through the reinforcing pipe 20 to reach the upper end part of the vertical slit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
