    To provide a composite base material in which functionality is imparted to a base material, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: There are provided a composite base material which has a thermoplastic resin layer that has unevenness thereon and a difference of elevation between a recess and a projection of 0.05 mm or more and 2.0 mm or less, and a functional layer layered at least on the upper surface of the projection, wherein the thickness of the functional layer is 10 nm or more and 100 μm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
