DAMPING STRUCTURE
To provide a damping structure that can improve damping performance of buildings with diagonal beams.SOLUTION: The damping structure has: a column-and-beam frame 2 having a plurality of layers and comprising horizontal beams 21 and columns 22; a low-stiffness diagonal beam 3 provided on the first floor (between a part of layers), having an axial direction diagonal to a horizontal direction, having a lower end 31 connected to the column-and-beam frame 2 in a lower layer between the layers, and having an upper end 32 connected to the column-and-beam frame 2 in an upper layer between the layers; and a damping device 5 provided between the layers in which the low-stiffness diagonal beam 3 is provided. The low-stiffness diagonal beam 3 is connected to the column-beam frame 2 through either a sliding bearing 4 or a rolling bearing at one of the lower end 31 and the upper end 32 so as to be relatively movable, and is connected to the column-beam frame 2 through either a rigid joint or pin joint at the other end.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
