To provide an admixture for a hydraulic composition useful for fixing carbon dioxide gas and capable of obtaining a hardened body with suppressed drying shrinkage strain, and to provide the hydraulic composition which includes the admixture for the hydraulic composition and which can obtain the hardened body with a high amount of carbon dioxide gas fixation and suppressed drying shrinkage strain.SOLUTION: An admixture for a hydraulic composition comprises a modified concrete powder which has a 50% particle size of 50 μm or less and is a reaction product of a recycled concrete powder and carbon dioxide gas, the modified concrete powder containing calcium carbonate and a silicate. The hydraulic composition comprising the admixture therefor is also provided.SELECTED DRAWING: None
