To provide a sedimentation treatment method of pumice not requiring collection of pumice, having a small environmental load, and being capable of efficiently treating pumice, and a sedimentation device usable in a sedimentation treatment method.SOLUTION: In a sedimentation treatment method of pumice, a sedimentation device 10 holds pumice 20 floating on water surface to forcibly submerges it in water. By shrink of air bubbles in the pumice and/or water immersion into the pumice due to action of water pressure, a specific gravity of the pumice is made to be 1.0 or more, and the pumice is sedimented to a water bottom G.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】 軽石の回収を必要とせず、環境負荷が少なく、軽石を効率的に処分可能な軽石の沈降処分方法および沈降処分方法に使用可能な沈降装置を提供する。【解決手段】 この軽石の沈降処分方法は、水面に浮上した軽石20を沈降装置10により保持し強制的に水没させ、水圧の作用による軽石内の気泡の縮泡および/または軽石内への浸水により軽石の比重を1.0以上とし、軽石を水底Gに沈降させた状態とする。【選択図】 図1
