    To provide a control device for a work machine and the work machine provided therewith capable of not only carrying out various heavy load work performed at the site in a stable state but also reducing fuel consumption upon light load work.SOLUTION: A controller 50 of a control device 100 carries out heavy load control or light load control. Under the heavy load control, a speed of an engine 20 is increased or reduced from a first reference speed according to increase or reduction of an operation amount of heavy load allowance operation received by an operation section 24 and the speed of the engine 20 is set to be the first reference speed or less when the operation section 24 receives light load allowance operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】作業現場で行われる様々な重負荷作業を安定して行うことが可能であるとともに、軽負荷作業時の燃料消費を節減することが可能な作業機械の制御装置及びこれを備えた作業機械を提供する。【解決手段】制御装置１００のコントローラ５０は、重負荷制御または軽負荷制御を実行する。重負荷制御では、操作部２４が受ける重負荷許諾操作の操作量の増加及び減少に応じてエンジン２０の回転数を第１基準回転数から増加及び減少させ、操作部２４が軽負荷許諾操作を受けるとエンジン２０の回転数を前記第１基準回転数以下に設定する。【選択図】図２
