To provide a high-strength vacuum glass.SOLUTION: A vacuum glass 1 includes: an air-cooled tempered first glass plate with its surface compressive stress value of 80 MPa or more; an air-cooled tempered second glass plate 20 with its surface compressive stress value of 80 MPa or more that faces the first glass plate via a depressurized layer; and an outer peripheral sealing portion 31 that joins the outer peripheral edge of the first glass plate to the outer peripheral edge of the second glass plate so as to seal the depressurized layer. The outer peripheral sealing portion 31 contains solder with a liquidus temperature of 300°C or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
