To provide a composite building material that enables a covering material to be firmly assembled to a hollow core material while facilitating the assembly and disassembly of the hollow core material and the covering material.SOLUTION: An embodiment of the present invention comprises an extruded long hollow core material 2 and covering materials 3A and 3B. The hollow core material 2 comprises: a pair of first engagement recesses 4 located on both ends in the width direction and extending in the length direction; and a second engagement recess 5 located on its main surface and extending in the length direction. The covering materials 3A, 3B comprises: a first covering portions 9 covering the main surface of the hollow core material 2; a pair of second covering portions 10 covering both ends in the width direction of the hollow core material 2; a pair of first engagement convex portions 11 each of which is protruding from each of the second pair of covering portions 10; and a second engagement convex portion 12 protruding from the first covering portion 9. The covering materials 3A and 3B covering the hollow core material 2 are integrally assembled together with the hollow core material 2 in a state that the first pair of engagement convex portions 11 are engaged in the first pair of engagement recesses 4 and the second pair of engagement convex portions 12 are engaged in the second pair of engagement recesses 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
