To provide a screw fastening method which does not leave chips generated by drilling between members to be fastened and does not require a task temporarily fixing the members to be fastened.SOLUTION: According to a screw fastening method, after an exterior material 1 and a substrate material 2 are fastened by screwing a first drill screw 3 into a plurality of parts of the exterior material 1 and the substrate material 2, the first drill screw 3 is pulled out of the exterior material 1 and the substrate material 2, and the chips between the exterior material 1 and the substrate material 2 are removed. Then, a second drill screw 4 which has a cutting blade external diameter equal to or smaller than a screw external diameter of the first drill screw 3 and which has a screw external diameter larger than a screw external diameter of the first drill screw 3 is screwed into a prepared hole 5 formed on the exterior material 1 and the substrate material 2 by the first drill screw 3 so as to fully fasten the exterior material 1 and the substrate material 2, so that metal chips generated by drilling do not remain between the exterior material 1 and the substrate material 2, and it is not necessary to require a task to temporarily fix the exterior material 1 and the substrate material 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
【課題】削孔によって発生した切り屑を締結対象部材間に残存させることがなく、しかも締結対象部材同士を仮固定する作業を必要とすることのないネジ締結方法を提供する。【解決手段】第1のドリルネジ3を外装材1及び下地材2の複数箇所にねじ込むことにより外装材1及び下地材2同士を仮締めした後、外装材1及び下地材2から第1のドリルネジ3を抜き取り、外装材1及び下地材2の間の切り屑を除去した後、第1のドリルネジ3によって外装材1及び下地材2に形成された下孔5に、第1のドリルネジ3のネジ外径以下の切り刃外径を有し且つ第1のドリルネジ3のネジ外径よりも大きいネジ外径の第2のドリルネジ4をねじ込むことにより外装材1及び下地材2同士を本締めするようにしたので、削孔によって発生した金属の切り屑が外装材1と下地材2との間に残存することがなく、外装材1と下地材2とを仮固定する作業を必要とすることもない。【選択図】図6
