To provide a component fixing back plate capable of being firmly fixed to a stile and a component fixing method using the component fixing back plate.SOLUTION: A component fixing back plate 2, which is allowed to be placed in a hollow section 133D of a door top end stile 133 and to which a handle 17 is fixed that is installed to the door top end stile 133, includes a pair of back plate bodies 21 inserted into the hollow section 133D through a stile communication hole 133E formed in the door top end stile 133, and a back plate fixing structure 23 which causes the pair of back plate bodies 21 to move in a mutually spacing-apart direction for respective connection to a pair of depth directional pieces 136B that constitute the hollow section 133D in a pressure-urging manner.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
