To provide a hollow member producing method which can produce a hollow member to which carbon dioxide is effectively fixed, and to provide a hollow member.SOLUTION: A hollow member producing method includes: a centrifugal molding process (step S11) in which concrete 10 is placed inside a formwork 3 and the formwork 3 is rotated to form a cylindrical hollow member 1, 1A; and a carbon dioxide fixation process (step S13) in which carbon dioxide is supplied to an internal space X formed by an inner peripheral surface 10b of the hollow member 1, 1A to fix the carbon dioxide at the hollow member 1, 1A.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
